How-To: Recreate Oscar Trends
Okay, this is our last post about the Academy Awards. Promise. But the Oscars did bring a lot of valuable trends to the table, such as oversized bows (Emma Stone), capes (Gwyneth Paltrow), and glitz (Jessica Chastain). Here at Lace Affair, we love when feminine glamour is on-trend, so we couldn’t be happier with the red carpet and how it has (and will) affect fashion. Below is some of our favorite new looks and how to recreate them using looks from our shop! Let us know in the comments how you would re-interpret the trends…
Going Dotty for Polka Dots
Natalie’s vintage Dior frock was feminine and on-trend even though it was from the Fifties! Re-create the look with our Adorned in Dots Dress.
O.K. Coral
It is always nice to see a bold color usurped by its milder cousin who looks even better! If coral is the new red, then you can fit right in with our Coral Wonder Dress!
Bow Down to the Bow
The great thing about a bow is that it can change it’s identity depending on its size. A small bow can be dainty and ladylike in your hair or as a pin, while an oversized bow like the one on our Mod Bow Jacket can be a fashion statement all its own.
Back In Black
A sequined dress can be pretty and sparkly, but a black sequined dress is another story. The darker version of these little glitters on a shirt or our Encircled in Sequins Scarf can be a stunning addition to any outfit
Decked Out in Deco
The Art Deco trend that permeated last season’s runway shows popped up again on the ornate print of Jessica’s dress. You can get a similar look with our Wish Upon A Shooting Star Necklace!
