Sundays are For…Outdoor Activities!

  • Sharebar

Ah, free time! Time off from work, school, and the day-to-day stresses can be a magical thing. But what do you do with it? In the winter, it is perfectly acceptable to spend this time in a darkened movie theater, in a warm house, or in a cozy restaurant. But now that the temperature is rising and the sun has come out to play, it is time to take yourself outside! There are tons of fun, romantic, and adventurous activities that don’t require walls or a ceiling…here are our ideas:

Pull an Overnight-er

If you are lucky enough to live near mountains or beautiful wooded terrains, take advantage! Pack a tent, a sleeping bag, some firewood, and a lantern, and listen to the sounds of nature around you.

My, Your Thumb Looks Green

Even if you kill a plant by looking at it, gardening can be a surprisingly simple task once you learn a few basics. Start off small with some low-maintenance herbs and work your way up to peppers and tomatoes.

Go Al Fresco!

Even if you don’t put together a fancy banquet like this, you can take a plate and sit on your deck, patio, or porch. Sitting outside and not in front of the television can open up your psyche and let you enjoy your meal even more!

Kid Around

Even if you don’t have a kid, bring out your inner child with some fun, playful activities. Blow some bubbles, play in the park, frolic…we won’t judge!

A Bicycle Built for One

Rather than taking the train to work or hopping in the car to go to the store, get out your bike and use it as an excuse to get a little scenic exercise!

What is your favorite thing to do outside?
