Vintage “Mintspiration”

Mint green has been the IT color for Spring for several seasons now. However before then mint was a hard color to find. We are loving that mint has stuck around so much that we have a special section devoted just to it. What is interesting though is that mint was a popular color in the 1950′s and 60′s! Who knew it was so retro?! Here are some of our favorite vintage mint looks followed by our favorite current mint dresses:

Vintage looks from 1965, 1954, & 1962 all via

DIY Adorable: Hair Bow Tutorial

With Easter and just Spring in general finally coming up we are looking forward to pastel colors and delightful dresses! What better to pair with a pretty dress than an adorable hair style? We loved this cute bow hair style so much we had to try it out! It took no time at all so it’s also a pretty easy style to master. Here’s our step by step guide:

Step 1: Gather front pieces of hair from both sides of your face and bring them together behind your head.

Step 2: Begin putting your hair into a ponytail using a hair elastic. The last time you pull your hair through the elastic only pull it half way through creating a loop.

Step 3: Separate the loop into 2 equal parts and twist them a little so that they lay flat against your head like the loops of a bow.

Step 4: Pin the 2 loops of your bow on the underside to your head using bobby pins.

Step 5: Take the ends of your hair left over from making your ponytail loop and wrap them around the middle of your bow and pull them through your hair behind the ponytail elastic so that they make the middle part of your bow. Pin the ends with bobby pins underneath the bow.

Voila! You now have a perfectly pretty hair bow to pair with all your Spring favorites!

What do you think? Would you wear this bow-tiful hair style?
